Hi! My name is Grady, I am 17 years old, a competitive swimmer, and Previse Skin Type 1-2. I spend the majority of my time training outdoors under the hot Arizona sun. Due to the year-round high temperatures, I struggle with the immediate problems of staying hydrated (even though I’m in the pool) as well as both applying and reapplying sunscreen every two hours.

I have already suffered through two or three sunburns which have put me at risk for developing skin cancer. I can tell you firsthand that applying sunscreen, no matter what you are doing outside, is always important. Many people fail to realize how harmful the sun’s rays can be to a person’s skin. Unprotected sun exposure can lead to freckles, moles, wrinkles, skin discoloration, and various types of skin cancer.
Sun Protection Factor (SPF) product labeling is the measure of how well a sunscreen will protect your skin from UVB rays, a form of ultraviolet light that is a high contributor towards sun burns and skin cancer. This is misleading as it does not measure how well it will protect you from UVA exposure, an equally as harmful form of radiation.
I use Previse SunSheer in and out of the water because of its high zinc content that, unlike other sunscreens, masks me from the sun’s harmful UVB and UVA rays. SunSheer is sweat and water-resistant and contains no silicone or parabens that could possibly clog my pores, which allows my skin to stay clear, hydrated, and protected throughout the day.
